BCIC President & Head-Karnataka, Adani Group Mr. Kishore Alva Calls on Mr. D V Prasad, Additional Chief Secretary to Government of Karnataka Discusses ways to Improve Industrial Conduciveness in the State

Mr. Kishore Alva, President BCIC & Head-Karnataka, Adani Group called on Mr. D V Prasad, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary to Government of Karnataka to discuss on various issues concerning industry and investment flows into Karnataka.

Mr. Kishore Alva spoke on the Bangalore connectivity and requested the Government to atleast as an initial kick-start to create a traffic-free corridor from the BIAL Airport to Vidhana Soudha on priority basis. Secondly, he also requested the Government to take up development of lakes especially, the gateway to Bangalore Lake:  The Hebbal Lake, to beautify it. “This will immediately create a brand image of our Garden City when people enter into our city”, he said.

Mr. Kishore Alva said: “Over the decades BCIC has been closely working with Government of Karnataka and providing necessary inputs to improving business conduciveness and fostering industrial growth in the State. On several occasions the Government has also positively responded by including recommendations provided by the Chamber.”

The Chamber offered to partner with the Government in areas like District outreach, Upskilling, Labour reforms, Agro-based Industry Growth, Defence, FDI promotion, Industrial Infrastructure support and other industry oriented initiatives concerning the State.

Mr. Kishore Alva said: “On our part BCIC assures the State Government that we will continue to support and be a vital cog in the wheel of economy development to see that Karnataka continues to be the most preferred business destination for not only the domestic sector but overseas corporations.”

Mr. D V Prasad assured to closely partner and work with the Chamber to place Karnataka on a higher pedestal in the coming years.
