Event Detail
As part of the ICT-3i (Industry-Institute Interface) Expert Committee, this year, the Bangalore Chamber of Industry and Commerce (BCIC) has decided to help address the “Gap between Industry needs and quality of engineering workforce coming out of institutions every year in the field of ICT”. The aim is to make the Digital workforce of tomorrow Industry ready. The focus would be on the Information Sciences (IS), Computer Science (CS) and MCA streams.
To this end, we are currently conducting a study with engineering colleges across Karnataka to understand exact challenges prevailing with curriculum as well as pedagogy and seek inputs/suggestions to mitigate them. The next step is to create an ecosystem of supporters of this movement from both Industry and Academia and bring them together.
In this context, we are organising a meet along with Amrita College, Bangalore on occasion of a conference on Intelligent Computing to be hosted by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham University Campus, Junnasandra, Carmelaram, Kasavanahalli, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560035 on October 26, 2018 between 2.00 and 4.00 pm.
In this session, we would like to present the findings on curriculum, approach, assessment mechanisms, FDP needs and seek opinions on solutions.
